Only three Jets teams have won 13 games: the Super Bowl team,
Parcells' 1998 team, and this one.
It may not be much as franchise records go, but it's our record.
A damn good year by our standards.

Which one of Cromartie's 400 bastard kids read the tweet to him?
Seriously, who gives a fuck what another loudmouthed, loser punk has
to say?
Maybe Rover can get the water boy to take out Hasselbecks knees next

Thing is, Hasselbeck didn't say it out of the blue. Cromartie's been
mouthing off, and I think Hasselbeck's comments came after he called
the union "assholes". When people speak out against their union in
the middle of a dispute, they usually get a lot worse than a deleted
tweet. Also, do we know for sure that Cromartie knows what CBA stands
for? Truth is an absolute defense...
OK....I didn't understand the context of it...still, Hasselbeck should know
he's dealing with a less than stellar type person. I agree that Cromartie,
for all of his exciting plays, is probably a very difficult guy to manage.
But my sense is there have always been more than a few of these in the game
and a lot of coaches seem to like them because they are often very
aggressive players. So, maybe it's a systemic problem?

Still Hasselback said it then pulled it, Be a man, face your opponent
and say what you want but, say it to his face. Don't hide behind a
keyboard.
:-) We're OLD....tweet'n and all that crap is the new deal today.....no
more real fights in school either. Kids don't meet in the alley or at the
town commons anymore and have a fair fight, one guy sucker punches another
as he comes out of the boys room or whatever....a much different world.

What of it? As if this kind of thing doesn't go on every day
everywhere. I - and I hope Rex and the entire organization too - say
good for Cromartie. I'll take someone who isn't afraid to defend his
public honor when some asshole attempts to humiliate him publicly.
"Really out of control?" You sound like the Beverly Hills Police doing
everything 'by the book' in Bev Hills Cop.
Haven't you ever told someone you'd smash their face in?
From what I've actually heard of Cromartie the last 3 weeks, he is a
perceptive fierceless young man. Good for him.
No Jet player has broken a law other than the PCness. I do agree with
you tho about the Bart Scott threat -- some rule shoulda automatically
suspended him before the Jets beatdown of NE.
But again I respect people's God-given right to speak their mind
including Jets and everyone.

Cromartie was hiding behind a keyboard too. The difference between
Cro and Hass is that Cro has no shame.
Cromartie really throws these physical threats around, which is ironic
for a CB whose biggest weakness is that he doesn't play physical
enough. Not that Bart Scott is any kind of role model, but at least
he can back up what he says. The vast majority of guys on that
football field could put Cromartie on his ass pretty easily.

Genetics will make up for some hard living. it is interesting is that
his workouts, or what I can remember, were quite a bit on calisthenics
and now p90x, Insanity workout etc. while are done at a much faster
pace are in vogue. Part of his philosophy of just move around has
value.
He ultimately was the ultimate huckster from his exercise show to his
gyms and to juicers.
Didn't he live on juice or something? I tried carrot juice once because of
him...and once was enough for me.

They have an online replay that they charge there are some nuts like
us that would pay for the coaching views. It isn't like the opponents

Maybe the best coach of the last 15 years not to win a Super Bowl (and
better than some who did).
But when you get rid of the owner's pet huge-bucks franchise QB, you'd
better damn well win with a capable alternative and not lose with a
geriatric Kerry Collins.
> wonder if he will coach next year for another team ???
With $8 million of walking-away money in his pocket he can do whatever
his heart desires. Open a yarn-and-crochet shop if he wants.
I *dream* of getting fired like this. :-)

you finally "hero" up and feed the soil with the blood from your slit wrists?
THE STEELERS ARE GOD'S TEAM, BOY. END YOUR BLASPHEMY NOW.
WE HAVE SPOKEN.

Next season Taylor will be 37, Pace will be 31, Scott will be 31,
Harris will be a free agent, and Bryan Thomas will be Bryan Thomas.
Looks to me like Harris can pretty much name his price. If he leaves
and the others start sliding down the hill due to age, the whole D
could go off a cliff. Revis could end up really an island.

Pennington's talking about coming back to the Fins and they're
actually talking some about him being their starter next year, if the
alternative is still Henne,
Believe it or not. And I'll believe it when I see it.
I'd love to see Chad back here as a backup/tutor/player-coach/
whatever.
But would he really fit in with the Rex regime? Would he want to come
back here like that, is there anything really in it for him? How does
he feel about Tanny and Woody after they got rid of him like that? I
don't know.
In any event he is a very smart guy, has made his millions, paid his
dues in full, and can do whatever he wants. More power to him.
